Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stressed: "The response to Israel after the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, will be precise, calculated and inevitable." He said in a post on his account on the X platform about the phone call he had with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, and his call for Iran to exercise restraint: "We are not afraid of increasing regional escalation, but unlike Israel, we do not seek that."
