Iranian Foreign Minister Criticizes Netanyahu’s Strategies

Accra:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to salvage his position at the expense of increased violence and financial support from the United States. Araghchi likened Netanyahu to a "degenerate gambler" in a post on the social media platform X, criticizing him for seeking more "U.S. blood and treasure."

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi further described Netanyahu as a "wanted war criminal" with blood on his hands from multiple nations, including Arab, American, and Iranian. He noted that even U.S. Senators are questioning continued involvement.

Back on February 28, the U.S. and Israel initiated a conflict against Iran, which, according to Tehran, resulted in the deaths of over 3,000 people. Iran retaliated with attacks that caused casualties among Americans and Israelis before a ceasefire was implemented in April.

Despite a ceasefire, the situation remained tense, as later U.S. attacks targeted sites within Iran amidst stalled negotiations between Washington and Tehran. These discussions, which included a memorandum of understanding signed in mid-June, have been hindered by disputes over navigation rights through the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.
