Amman: Irbid Governor Firas Abu Al-Ghanam on Wednesday inspected progress on the rehabilitation of the playing surface at Al Hassan International Stadium, located in Al Hassan Youth City, to review the project's implementation and completion rate.
According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Al-Ghanam emphasized that the project is a pivotal part of the governorate's sports infrastructure initiatives. He highlighted the necessity of maintaining the current pace of work and utilizing all available resources to ensure the project is finished within the approved timetable.
Abu Al-Ghanam stated that the completion of this project would significantly enhance the city's capacity to host sporting tournaments and events, thereby supporting Jordan's sports sector. This effort aligns with the Ministry of Youth's broader strategy to upgrade sports infrastructure throughout the kingdom.
Furthermore, Abu Al-Ghanam underscored the importance of ongoing coordination among all involved parties to ensure the project's implementation meets the highest technical and engineering standards, thereby achieving its intended goals.
Abdullah Bani Yasin, director of Al Hassan Youth City, noted that the rehabilitation work on the stadium pitch is under the close watch of Minister of Youth Raed Adwan. The minister is giving the project special attention to ensure it is completed on schedule and adheres to the highest technical specifications.
Yasin added that the project is expected to enhance the quality of sports services available to young people and athletes and reinforce Al Hassan Youth City's status as one of Jordan's premier sports facilities.
