IRGC Launches Missile Strikes on US Bases in Jordan

Amman: Irans Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for launching ballistic missile attacks on American military bases in Jordan. The strikes were purportedly a response to recent US military actions on Larak Island.

According to Deutsche Welle, the IRGC stated that its missile attacks resulted in "heavy damage" to the King Hussein base and the Al-Azraq base. These bases are vital US military installations within Jordanian territory.

In response, the Jordanian army reported the successful interception of eight missiles as they entered the nation's airspace, demonstrating the country's defensive capabilities amid escalating regional tensions. US sources corroborated the interception efforts, with Fox News chief international correspondent Trey Yingst noting that nearly all of the missiles were intercepted before causing substantial damage.
