Irish Deputy PM Warns Against Israeli Expansion of Gaza Offensive

Muscat: Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris on Monday voiced deep concern over reported Israeli plans to expand its military offensive in the Gaza Strip, warning that such actions would lead to more deaths, injuries, and "unimaginable" suffering for the Palestinian people.

According to Jordan News Agency, Harris stated that the reports of Israel preparing to escalate its operations in Gaza were "deeply alarming." He described the conditions faced by Palestinians in the enclave as "appalling and inhumane."

Harris called for an immediate ceasefire and urgent resumption of large-scale humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, emphasizing the need to halt what he termed a "humanitarian catastrophe."
