Israel Condemns Recognition of Palestinian State by Britain, Australia, and Canada

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly denounced the recent decision by Britain, Canada, and Australia to recognize a Palestinian state.

According to Nam News Network, Netanyahu criticized the move, linking it to the recent violence in southern Israel and stating, "I have a clear message to those leaders who recognize a Palestinian state, after the terrible massacre of Oct 7." He argued that such recognition rewards terrorism and firmly stated, "It will not happen, there will not be a Palestinian state west of the Jordan River."

The decision from these countries has sparked significant controversy. A joint media release by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong emphasized Australia's support for the Palestinian people's aspirations, stating, "Australia recognises the legitimate and long-held aspirations of the people of Palestine to a state of their own."

In a similar move, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also issued a statement affirming Canada's recognition of the State of Palestine, further highlighting the growing international support for Palestinian statehood.
