Tel aviv: The Israeli air force announced on Tuesday morning that it had successfully intercepted a drone near the border with Jordan, though it did not disclose any details about the origin of the aircraft.
According to Deutsche Welle, the Israeli air force confirmed that the drone had not breached Israeli airspace. This interception follows the downing of two other drones in the same region on Monday, whose origins also remain unidentified.
Jordan's strategic location, sharing borders with Israel, the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, places it at the center of various regional tensions. The United States also has a military presence on Jordanian air force bases.
While Israel participated in the initial offensive against Iran in February, it has abstained from engaging in the latest series of strikes.
