Amman: Israeli warplanes on Sunday carried out a series of raids on Southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, coinciding with funerals of Hezbollah leaders killed in previous Israeli airstrikes. The areas targeted included Wadi Gharb in Baalbek, al-Rehan hill, and Ahmadiya in southern Lebanon.
According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli aircraft also staged mock raids over the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The timing of these operations coincides with the funerals of Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine, who were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Beirut in September and October.
