Israeli Airstrike Targets Two in Northern Gaza Amid Ceasefire

Gaza: The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it conducted an airstrike targeting two Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, marking a breach of the current ceasefire agreement. The military claimed the individuals posed an immediate threat to its forces after allegedly crossing the designated yellow line, which separates Israeli-controlled areas from those where Palestinian movement is permitted. The condition of the two individuals remains unknown, with no confirmation on whether they were killed or injured.

According to Anadolu Agency, Palestinians have accused the Israeli military of multiple violations of the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect since October 10. Gaza's Government Media Office reports that at least 394 Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israeli actions since the ceasefire was established.

Since October 2023, Israeli military operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of over 70,700 individuals, predominantly women and children, and have left more than 171,000 injured. The ongoing conflict has severely devastated the region, leaving extensive destruction in its wake.
