Beirut: Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday, targeting several locations including Qana in Tyre, Jabal al-Rihan in Jezzine, and villages in the Nabatieh district, according to a Lebanese security source.
According to Jordan News Agency, the air raids resulted in the death of one individual and injured another in the town of al-Rihan. The strikes also targeted the vicinity of a Lebanese army checkpoint at the Kufr Houna triangle in Jezzine.
The source further reported that an Israeli drone initially targeted a Lebanese Army soldier, who was unharmed. However, the drone returned and seriously wounded him on the Kafr Rumman road in Nabatieh.
Additionally, another drone attacked an ambulance crew, preventing them from reaching the "Jabal" area in the town of Siddiqin in Tyre to evacuate the wounded.
