The Israeli army announced, on Wednesday morning, the killing of 4 of its soldiers and the wounding of 6 others, during clashes in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday. The dead included 3 from the Givati Brigade and a paramedic in the Armored Brigade. According to the Times of Israel, paramedic Ajam Naim is the first female soldier to be killed during the Israeli ground attack on the Gaza Strip. This brings the number of Israeli army deaths since the start of the ground attack to 348. In the same attack in which the four soldiers were killed, an officer and two soldiers were seriously wounded and two others were moderately wounded.
