Israeli Extremists Breach Jerusalem Mosque, Army Arrests 14 Palestinians in West Bank

Jerusalem: Dozens of right-wing Israelis and settlers stormed into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound/Haram al-Sharif on Monday, under heavy escort by Israeli occupation police. The incident has sparked tensions in the area, as the mosque is one of Islam's holiest sites.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Islamic Waqf (endowments) Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that the hardliners entered the compound through Bab Al Magharebah Gate. They provocatively toured the plaza and performed prayers in its eastern part, actions seen as inflammatory by the Muslim community.

In a separate development in the occupied West Bank, Israeli troops conducted raids in several towns and villages. This search-and-arrest campaign targeted academics, women, and young men, resulting in the arrest of 14 individuals deemed "wanted," according to a press release by the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

Furthermore, local residents reported that Israeli forces demolished a home in the al-Walajeh village, west of Bethlehem. Additionally, two agricultural rooms and two water wells were destroyed in the village of Wadi Rahal, southeast of Bethlehem, highlighting the ongoing tensions and disruptions faced by Palestinian communities in the region.
