Amman: A strike by Israeli workers on Thursday disrupted passenger movement through the King Hussein Bridge, preventing several buses from completing their journeys into the Palestinian territories, Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdulkarim Abu Dalou said.
According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Dalou said only 25 of the 50 buses scheduled to cross into the Palestinian territories were able to complete their trips due to the disruption.
He explained that the strike began at 10 a.m. and continued until 1 p.m., significantly affecting passenger flow through the bridge. Before the strike, 12 buses crossed into the Palestinian territories, while only 13 buses were able to cross after operations resumed.
Abu Dalou added that the disruption prevented a large number of Palestinian travelers from reaching the Palestinian territories or returning through the bridge, which is expected to affect travel arrangements in the coming days.
