Amman: Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, welcomed Azerbaijani Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev at the General Command headquarters on Sunday. The meeting aimed to review and enhance the strategic defense relationship between the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and Azerbaijani military.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on boosting military coordination and exploring new defense cooperation opportunities that benefit both nations. The parties also addressed regional and international security developments, emphasizing the importance of effective communication channels to tackle regional challenges.
Major General Huneiti highlighted the importance of deepening this strategic partnership to support international peace and security efforts. Ambassador Abdullayev acknowledged Jordan's significant role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in promoting regional stability. He also praised the JAF for its professionalism and technical expertise in modern military operations.
