Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) has initiated comprehensive medical testing for new conscripts, directing them to medical committees throughout the Kingdom to simplify procedures and minimize time and effort.
According to Jordan News Agency, the head of the JAF Mobilization and Popular Army Department stated that conscripts have been organized into three geographic regions, with designated military hospitals and medical centers assigned accordingly. In the Northern Region, covering the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, and Mafraq, conscripts will report to Prince Rashid Military Hospital in Irbid Governorate. The Central Region, including the capital Amman and the governorates of Zarqa, Madaba, and Balqa, will see conscripts directed to the Khaw Medical Center adjacent to the Military Recruitment Center in Zarqa Governorate. The Southern Region is divided between Prince Ali bin Hussein Military Hospital for those from Karak and Tafila governorates, and Prince Hashim bin Abdullah II Military Hospital for conscripts from Ma'an and Aqaba governorates.
The Director of Medical Committees and Health Insurance noted that conscripts will undergo all required stages of medical testing to determine their physical fitness, classifying them as either fit or unfit. The regulation underscores JAF's commitment to facilitating conscription processes and ensuring equitable distribution across medical facilities, thereby fostering a sense of national duty and responsibility among Jordanian youth.
