Amman: Jordan's mobile phone imports grew remarkably this year with 155,000 devices imported at a value of JD15.1 million during the month of January, according to the Association for Mobiles and Accessories Investors (Vision).

According to Jordan News Agency, cell phone imports during the same period last year stood at 148,000, worth JD10.8 million, as stated in a statement released on Sunday. This increase highlights a significant growth in the market.

One brand accounted for JD8 million of the devices, indicating a growth in brands in the local market, said the association's head, Ahmed Alloush. This suggests a shift in consumer preferences and brand dominance within Jordan's mobile phone industry.
