Amman: Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and Youth Projects Development Fund (Sharaka) in Oman held a second virtual symposium to explore joint economic cooperation areas. The event, attended by 150 participants from various economic sectors, was designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and explore bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the symposium was held as part of the joint action plan following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two entities. This plan aims to strengthen cooperation and enhance communication among entrepreneurs and supporting institutions in both countries. The event seeks to expand economic partnership horizons and facilitate communication for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs with relevant authorities, contributing to the development of the SME sector.
During the webinar, JEDCO Acting CEO Dana Zoubi highlighted that the event helps connect Jordanian SME owners with investment opportunities in the Omani market, enhancing their ability to expand regionally. Zoubi mentioned that JEDCO is committed to streamlining access to new markets and deepening economic and trade cooperation with Omani partners, which benefits the private sector's development.
Ali bin Ahmed Muqebel, CEO of Sharaka, expressed his pride in the continued cooperation with the Jordanian side. He noted that this second webinar demonstrates a shared commitment to support SMEs by opening new opportunities in regional markets and building long-term strategic partnerships.
