JEDCO Programs Create 122 Jobs in Mafraq: CEO

Mafraq: Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) backed 44 local projects in northern Mafraq governorate, creating 122 job opportunities, JEDCO CEO Ghalib Hijazi announced Wednesday. During a dialogue session with local beneficiaries, Hijazi emphasized JEDCO's commitment to expanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), refining development tools, and incorporating beneficiary feedback into future support strategies.

According to Jordan News Agency, Acting Mafraq Governor Ahmad Zuhair commended JEDCO for its role in driving local economic development, boosting employment, and empowering youth and women-led initiatives. During the discussion, participants shared their experiences, addressed operational challenges, and explored strategies to access new markets. Talks also centered on setting support priorities for upcoming phases.

Beneficiaries represented a range of economic sectors in the governorate, including food processing, chemicals, agriculture, livestock, education, transport, engineering services, and information technology.
