Amman: The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) organized 11 awareness events and educational lectures on Saturday, engaging employees from public administration institutions and officers from the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
According to Jordan News Agency, the JIACC issued a statement on Sunday outlining that the dialogues aimed to introduce its operations and duties, while highlighting corruption practices contained in the commission's law. These events also discussed the social, economic, and political repercussions of corruption.
The JIACC specified that 6 out of the total dialogues targeted employees from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Zarqa Health Directorate, and the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group.
Additionally, 2 educational lectures were conducted for officers at the PSD's Community Peace Center and the Preventive Security Training Center.
Furthermore, the commission organized 3 awareness lectures for the public sector. These were facilitated by the Institute of Public Administration in cooperation with the Audit Bureau, as part of a program to assess the government's internal monitoring and oversight entities.
