Amman: Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) on Saturday warned motorists on the Desert Highway, particularly in Qatraneh and surrounding areas, of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust and gusty winds. It urged drivers on highways to exercise caution, reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, and be aware of a possible sudden drop in horizontal visibility.
According to Jordan News Agency, the warning comes as weather conditions are expected to cause significant challenges for drivers. The JMD advised that these conditions might lead to potential hazards, especially for those traveling at high speeds or during peak traffic hours. Motorists are encouraged to stay updated on weather forecasts and follow guidance from local authorities to ensure safety while traveling on the affected routes.
