Amman: Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mamoun Al-Debi'e, engaged in discussions with a delegation from Southern Medical University (SMU) of China, focusing on future cooperation mechanisms and the development of joint projects aimed at advancing the academic and research sectors in both countries. According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Debi'e emphasized the significant achievements of Jordan's higher education sector, which has successfully attracted international students to its universities. He noted the recognized excellence of Jordanian universities, particularly in medical specialties, and the advanced positions that their alumni have achieved in various international tests, contributing to the increased interest from non-Jordanian students in pursuing their studies in Jordan. The Chinese delegation expressed a strong desire to enhance partnerships with Jordanian educational institutions. Their focus is on student exchange, scientific research, and medica l training, areas where they see potential for substantial collaboration and mutual benefit.
