Amman: The Ministry of Government Communication in Jordan is set to enhance its media partnership with China as both nations prepare to sign new agreements between their state media outlets. These forthcoming accords highlight a shared commitment to broaden professional ties and foster the exchange of expertise in the field of media.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry's Secretary-General, Zaid Nawaiseh, met with Mu Li, Director-General of the China Media Group (CMG) Regional Office in the Middle East. The discussions centered on enhancing partnerships, initiating training programs, and facilitating the exchange of media expertise. CMG, a major player in China's state media landscape, operates a comprehensive network of multilingual TV, radio, and digital platforms worldwide.
Nawaiseh expressed Jordan's eagerness to deepen its collaboration with Chinese media organizations to benefit both countries' shared interests. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing media capabilities.
Mu Li revealed that CMG is in the final stages of preparing memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Petra and the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV). These agreements, set to be signed soon, will concentrate on the exchange of media technology and training initiatives. She highlighted CMG's commitment to establishing enduring communication channels with Jordanian media, promoting development, and facilitating cultural exchange between the two nations.
