Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi met with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Radman to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and Jordan's strategic partnership with the European Union. During their meeting, Safadi and Radman signed an agreement between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Croatia to exempt diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements, marking a significant step in enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the talks also addressed regional developments, particularly the Israeli aggression on the State of Qatar. Both ministers described the aggression as a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to Qatar's security and sovereignty. They emphasized the need for a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza and supported efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. to implement an exchange agreement aimed at ending the aggression. The importance of opening crossings to deliver immediate aid to the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing a humanitarian crisis, was also stressed.
Safadi highlighted the necessity of halting Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank and its ongoing violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. At a joint press conference, he noted that the brutal Israeli aggression on Qatar was a major topic of discussion with Radman and praised Croatia's stance rejecting the aggression and supporting a two-state solution as the only path to peace in the region.
Safadi reiterated Jordan's absolute condemnation of the aggression against Qatar, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation by the Israeli government. He emphasized Jordan's support for Qatar and efforts to gather international and regional support to end the aggression. He also called for a unified international stance to deter Israeli actions and protect regional security and stability.
Radman praised the close cooperation between Croatia and Jordan, highlighting the importance of the diplomatic passport visa exemption agreement and the need to enhance bilateral relations. He reiterated Croatia's support for a two-state solution and commended Jordan's role in maintaining regional stability and hosting Syrian refugees.
