Amman: Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi met with EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas on Monday to discuss boosting parliamentary cooperation. Qadi emphasized the strong relationship between Jordan and the EU and expressed the House's gratitude for the EU's ongoing support. He highlighted Jordan's efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to implement comprehensive reforms in the political, economic, and administrative sectors aimed at enhancing public involvement in decision-making processes.
According to Jordan News Agency, Qadi reiterated Jordan's unwavering commitment to regional stability, emphasizing that a two-state solution remains the sole viable path to establishing a sovereign Palestinian state. Chatzisavas described Jordan as a highly trusted strategic partner and commended King Abdullah II for his significant contributions to promoting regional peace. He assured that the EU is dedicated to supporting Jordan in various sectors, including parliamentary cooperation, investment, and development initiatives.
