Jordan and France Explore Enhanced Social Development Cooperation

Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa engaged in discussions with French Ambassador Franck Gellet to explore potential avenues for cooperation in social programs.

According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa emphasized the significance of the active partnership with the French Development Agency and highlighted the efforts made through programs implemented by the ministry. These initiatives, including the Takatof Project for equality and social cohesion, are designed to support targeted groups. She underscored the importance of the project, which is executed in collaboration with the French Development Agency and Expertise France, in fostering sustainable and inclusive social services across several community development centers. This involves working closely with civil society institutions and rehabilitating selected centers to enhance their capacity for delivering social services.

Bani Mustafa also outlined the ministry's efforts within the framework of the National Social Protection Strategy (2025-2033). This strategy aims to improve the inclusiveness and sustainability of the social protection system, offering integrated services to targeted groups. Additionally, she discussed the priorities of the Women's Empowerment Strategy under the Economic Modernization Vision, which seeks to increase women's economic participation and create sustainable job opportunities, especially in the care sector.

The meeting further addressed ways to expand cooperation and partnerships to ensure that all groups targeted by the ministry's services, including persons with disabilities, have access to programs for protection, social integration, and more.

Ambassador Gellet expressed his appreciation for the effective partnership and cooperation with the Ministry. He praised the efforts in delivering quality services to the targeted social groups and expressed a desire for continued collaboration and partnership in the future.
