Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Wednesday welcomed a French military team headed by Brigadier General Frederic Dodet, Head of the Africa-Middle East Sub-Directorate at the Directorate of International Development, part of the French Directorate General of Armaments. They discussed ways to enhance military cooperation, particularly in training, defense capability development, and the exchange of expertise “to serve the interests of both countries and strengthen joint military action.”
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, attended by senior Jordan Armed Forces officers, saw Huneiti underscore the importance of joint efforts to address common challenges and achieve international peace and security. He emphasized the strong ties between the armed forces of Jordan and France.
Brigadier General Dodet noted Jordan’s key role in promoting regional security and stability. He affirmed France’s commitment to expanding military cooperation with the Kingdom, highlighting the necessity of collaborative military efforts to tackle shared regional and international challenges.
