Amman: Aref Saaideh, head of the Lower House Legal Committee, met with Iraqi Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee member Sara Allawi to discuss strengthening parliamentary ties and coordinating stances on shared regional issues. The discussions took place on Thursday, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the two nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, Saaideh emphasized the deep historic relations between Amman and Baghdad, underscoring the necessity to expand parliamentary collaboration and exchange expertise in legislative and oversight work. Allawi echoed this sentiment, affirming the Iraqi Parliament's dedication to deepening ties with its Jordanian counterpart. She praised the growing bilateral cooperation and the essential role of parliamentary diplomacy in benefiting both nations.
Both parties agreed to maintain ongoing communication between specialized parliamentary committees and coordinate their strategies in regional and international forums. This alignment aims to promote regional stability and advance joint Arab causes, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing common challenges.
