Amman: Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah met with Iraqi Ambassador Omar Barzanji on Wednesday to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the field of education. The discussions focused on higher education and coordination regarding the admission of Iraqi students to Jordanian universities.

According to Jordan News Agency, Mahafzah highlighted Jordan's ongoing development programs in education and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries. He noted that Jordan hosts approximately 250,000 students from more than 85 nationalities, reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to providing quality education despite the pressures on its education system and the additional burden of hosting refugees.

Barzanji commended the strong educational ties between Jordan and Iraq, praising Jordan's educational achievements and its distinguished regional and international standing. He reaffirmed Iraq's commitment to further developing cooperation in this sector.
