Jordan and Kuwait Explore Enhanced Academic Ties

Amman: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah met with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Rashid Al-Marri to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in higher education and scientific research. The meeting focused on fostering deeper academic ties between the two nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions emphasized the longstanding historical relationship between Jordan and Kuwait. Both parties explored potential areas of joint interest, which include the exchange of academic expertise, student mobility, and increased cooperation between universities and educational institutions in both countries.

Mahafzah expressed the ministry's dedication to attracting more Kuwaiti students to Jordanian universities. He highlighted efforts to facilitate their enrollment by addressing and resolving any challenges they may face. Currently, there are about 2,700 Kuwaiti students studying in various higher education institutions across Jordan.
