Jordan and Lao Forge New Diplomatic Ties

New york: The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic have signed a joint statement to establish diplomatic relations. This agreement is designed to enhance the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement aims to institutionalize bilateral cooperation across various fields. These include political, economic, social, cultural, and scientific sectors, all serving the mutual interests of the two countries.

The joint statement was signed by Jordan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Walid Khalid Obeidat, and Laos' Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Thongphane Savanphit. The signing took place at the headquarters of Jordan's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
