Amman:Interior Minister Mazen Farrayeh met with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Commander of the Qatari Internal Security Force "Lekhwiya," in Amman on Thursday. The meeting was attended by a delegation from Qatar, as well as several Jordanian officials, including Maj. Gen. Dr. Obeidallah Maaytah, Director of the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, and Ghaith Tayeb, Director of the Civil Status and Passports Department.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on issues of mutual interest and the importance of security cooperation. The two sides reviewed the regional situation and emphasized the need for enhanced consultation and joint coordination.
Both ministers discussed ways to exchange expertise and strengthen cooperation between their ministries. Farrayeh praised the close ties between Jordan and Qatar, highlighting the importance of full coordination on various mutual concerns. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani also emphasized the strong bilateral relations and their role in achieving constructive cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries.
