Amman: The second aircraft in the Jordanian-Qatari humanitarian air bridge departed on Friday for the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, carrying 26 tonnes of medical, relief, and food supplies as part of ongoing joint efforts to deliver urgent assistance to those affected by the recent earthquake in Venezuela.
According to Jordan News Agency, the flight follows the arrival of the first Jordanian aid aircraft in Caracas, which also delivered medical, relief, and food assistance sent in cooperation with the State of Qatar. The mission was launched in implementation of Royal Directives to support affected communities and help alleviate the impact of the disaster.
The latest shipment includes specialized medical supplies, humanitarian relief items, food aid, and equipment designated to support the Public Security Directorate's search and rescue team, strengthening emergency response efforts and addressing the urgent needs of people in the earthquake-hit areas.
The humanitarian air bridge reflects the close coordination and longstanding partnership between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Qatar in supporting international humanitarian and relief efforts and providing assistance to communities affected by natural disasters and crises.
The mission also underscores the high level of preparedness and operational capability of Jordan's state institutions, demonstrating their ability to respond rapidly and effectively to humanitarian emergencies beyond the Kingdom's borders, in line with Jordan's longstanding humanitarian commitment at both the regional and international levels.
The dispatch of the aid further highlights Jordan's humanitarian role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, in standing alongside countries and peoples affected by disasters and crises.
