Riyadh:Head of the Jordanian parliamentary delegation and Chair of the Jordanian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, MP Abdul-Basit Kabariti, emphasized the foundation of Jordanian-Saudi relations on mutual trust and close coordination.
According to Jordan News Agency, Kabariti, during a meeting in Riyadh with Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saudi Shura Council, Adel bin Siraj Mirdad, and other committee members, advocated for enhanced parliamentary cooperation and ongoing coordination on regional and international matters of shared interest.
Kabariti highlighted Jordan's commitment to Saudi Arabia's security, stability, and territorial integrity, reaffirming solidarity with Saudi Arabia in addressing threats to its security and stability. He also outlined key points from King Abdullah II's recent address to the UN General Assembly, focusing on the Palestinian cause and the pursuit of a just peace through a two-state solution.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to boost parliamentary communication, activate joint committees, and hold regular meetings to share expertise and perspectives on mutual concerns.
Mirdad and the Saudi committee members acknowledged the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, commending the high level of coordination and emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and joint Arab efforts to tackle regional challenges.
Jordanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, was present at the meeting.
