Amman: Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, engaged in a phone conversation on Sunday to deliberate over regional escalations and synchronize their efforts to mitigate them.
According to Jordan News Agency, both ministers expressed disapproval of recent Iranian attacks on Jordan and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, committing to "absolute solidarity" in addressing these security threats. They emphasized the importance of stopping the escalations and fully implementing the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.
The ministers also advocated for the immediate recommencement of negotiations aimed at achieving a comprehensive resolution that tackles all underlying causes of regional tension and ensures the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
