Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi welcomed a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and Syria, expressing a commitment to enhance cooperation across various sectors. This initiative is guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara.
During the visit, a significant step was taken with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at training diplomatic and public sector staff. This MoU was signed by the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy (JID) and the Syrian Diplomatic Institute, both of which are affiliated with the foreign ministries of their respective countries. The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nancy Nimroqa and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Majed Qatraneh.
The agreement was formally signed by JID Director, Haifa Khrisheh, and Head of the Syrian Diplomatic Institute, Yasser Jundi, marking a new chapter in collaborative efforts between the two nations.
