Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD), in collaboration with the United Nations Special Committee on Gender, held a specialized workshop aimed at enhancing the capabilities of its personnel participating in international peacekeeping missions as observers.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop is part of a strategic partnership between the PSD and the United Nations, underscoring the Directorate’s commitment to providing comprehensive security and humanitarian services in conflict zones worldwide. The workshop focused on recent developments in peacekeeping missions, the critical language skills and field experience required, and strategies to increase female police participation, promoting a balanced and inclusive work environment.
The PSD is dedicated to pursuing its security and humanitarian roles on an international level, ensuring that Jordan continues to be a significant contributor to global peace and security efforts. The workshop witnessed the involvement of the Assistant Director of the PSD for Operations and Training, the Commander of the Gendarmerie Forces, numerous officers, and representatives from the United Nations.
