Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, met with US Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict Colby Jenkins and his delegation at the General Command. The meeting centered on joint military cooperation, current regional and security developments, and efforts to enhance stability in the region.
According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti highlighted the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US, expressing appreciation for the ongoing support in military and defense fields. Jenkins commended Jordan's role under King Abdullah II in promoting regional security and stability, and he acknowledged the Jordanian Armed Forces for their contributions to humanitarian efforts and their high standards in training and professionalism.
The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador, the Defense Attach© in Amman, and senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces, further emphasizing the collaborative efforts between the two nations.
