Amman: Minister of Youth Yazan Shdeifat on Wednesday engaged in discussions with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam to Jordan, Noor Huda Ahmad, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the youth sector and developing joint institutional partnerships.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting underscored the "deep-rooted, brotherly" relations between Jordan and Brunei, which were established by His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty Sultan of Brunei. The discussions emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation to meet the aspirations of youth and enhance opportunities for their empowerment in various fields.
Minister Shdeifat highlighted the Ministry of Youth's key programs and initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering Jordanian youth, especially in areas like entrepreneurship, innovation, and active community engagement. These initiatives are crucial for fostering a dynamic and capable youth population in the country.
Ambassador Noor Huda Ahmad praised the Ministry's efforts in supporting the youth sector in Jordan and stressed Brunei's commitment to continued joint coordination and expertise transfer. She highlighted the youth sector as a fundamental pillar in enhancing mutual cooperation between the two nations.
A statement from the ministry noted that both sides advocated for the enhancement of youth delegation exchanges and the organization of joint training programs. These initiatives are intended to boost mutual understanding and refine the capabilities of youth from both countries to confront global challenges through cooperation and openness.
