Amman:The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs has condemned Colombia's decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem, describing it as a breach of international law and relevant international resolutions.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fuad Majali, the spokesperson for the ministry, emphasized Jordan's firm stance against this action, asserting that any attempts to change the status or legal standing of Jerusalem are invalid and hold no legal significance.
Majali further stressed that achieving a just and comprehensive peace, along with regional security and stability, hinges on the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
