Jordan Customs Chief Inspects Jaber and Jordan Valley Border Crossings

Jaber: Director General of Jordan Customs Major General Ahmed Al-Akalik inspected work progress and customs clearance procedures at the Jaber and Jordan Valley border crossings on Tuesday, receiving briefings from center directors on passenger movements, freight transport, and key operational challenges.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Akalik directed officials to streamline clearance procedures, accelerate processing times, shorten inspection periods, and expedite the adoption of digital systems for commercial trucks and passenger vehicles at the Jaber border crossing. He stressed that these steps should boost digital efficiency and speed up passenger and cargo transit while maintaining strict security standards in coordination with border control agencies.

During his visit, Al-Akalik listened to feedback from travelers and instructed officials to resolve outstanding issues and remove administrative bottlenecks that delay processing times. He underscored the importance of ongoing field monitoring alongside inter-agency coordination to improve service delivery, safeguard security measures, and maintain smooth traffic flow across border points.
