Jordan Denounces Israeli Actions on ‘Sofa 53 Line’ in Syria

Quneitra:Amman: Jordan has condemned Israel's resumption of work on the "Sofa 53 Line" in Quneitra, Syria, labeling it a violation of Syria's sovereignty and a breach of international law.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, through spokesperson Fuad Majali, expressed strong rejection and condemnation of Israel's continued violations and attacks on Syrian territory.

Majali called for an immediate halt to all Israeli measures targeting Syria, citing violations of the UN Charter and Israel's obligations under the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. He urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by compelling Israel to stop its actions, end its occupation of Syrian regions, and comply with international law and resolutions.

The spokesperson reiterated Jordan's unwavering support for Syria's reconstruction on principles that ensure the country's unity, sovereignty, security, and stability while protecting its territory and citizens and upholding the rights of all Syrians.
