Amman: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, and the World Food Programme (WFP), has dispatched the fifth relief convoy to the Republic of Lebanon. This initiative is part of Jordan's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Lebanese people and mitigate the impact of difficult humanitarian conditions. According to Jordan News Agency, the convoy consists of 25 trucks loaded with medicines, infant formula, and food supplies. These essential medical and food resources are aimed at supporting the health sector, enhancing food security, and meeting the immediate needs of the most affected families and children to help ease their growing humanitarian burdens. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, stated that the continuous dispatch of relief convoys to Lebanon reflects Jordan's firm commitment to its humanitarian mission. Al-Shibli noted that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadersh ip, maintains an active presence alongside sisterly nations through an organized, institutional response mechanism that ensures aid reaches the areas and families most in need. He added that the organization continues to work with its partners and relevant authorities to scale up relief interventions in line with field requirements and priorities. The JHCO expressed its appreciation for the cooperation and facilities provided by Syrian authorities, which helped streamline the transit of the humanitarian convoy into Lebanon. The organization continues to implement its relief and humanitarian programs across several countries, utilizing an integrated logistical system to receive, prepare, and dispatch aid efficiently.
