Aqaba: Final preparations are underway as Jordan Motorsport sets the stage for an adrenaline-fueled Baja Jordan, featuring a rugged, high-octane route through Aqaba and the iconic sands of Wadi Rum. This challenging track will host the seventh round of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas and the FIM Bajas World Cup for motorcycles and quads, along with the third round of the Middle East Cross-Country Bajas Cup. The event runs from November 14-16. According to Jordan News Agency, competitors from around the world will face 566.46 kilometers of grueling desert terrain, starting from the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort. The course kicks off with a 2-km sprint in Aqaba, followed by two intense desert stages stretching 349.14 km and 214.32 km. Adding a unique twist, Jordan will debut a desert navigation rally in Wadi Rum, dubbed "Rally Wadi Al-Qamar," making it the largest desert sporting event ever held in the country. Registration closes on November 6, with Jordan Motorsport expecting a strong lineup in the Ultimate, Challenger, and SSV classes, alongside fierce competition from motorbike and quad riders in junior, veteran, and women's categories. "This year's Baja Jordan is set to deliver some of the toughest competition we've seen," said Zaid Balqez, Event Director of Jordan Baja, following the recent Qatar round. "With final touches in place, we're ready to welcome our World Cup participants back to Jordan's challenging landscape for a thrilling showdown." The eight-round World Cup series places the Middle East as a key battleground that could tip the scales in both the FIA and FIM titles.
