Amman: The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and the Information and Communications Technology Association (int@j) held an awareness session on Wednesday titled "Digital Transformation and Innovation to Achieve the Strategic Objectives of the Industrial Sector." JCI Deputy Director General Ishaq Arabiyat highlighted the opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, emphasizing the potential benefits for national industries through the Internet of Things and data analysis.
According to Jordan News Agency, the session was held in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and served as a platform for exchanging expertise and launching initiatives to support industrial innovation. Nidal Bitar, CEO of int@j, explained that the association plays a pivotal role in connecting university students' graduation projects with the practical needs of industrial sectors, thereby enhancing competitiveness and growth.
Additionally, the Deputy Director of GIZ introduced the "Innovative Ways to Support Employment" project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. This initiative aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) both technically and financially, linking them with donor institutions to access larger funding opportunities.
The session also focused on assessing the readiness of factories for digital transformation, exploring artificial intelligence, and its applications in industrial process management, as well as manufacturing and production automation.
