Jordan Invites Bids to Expand Oil Storage Capacity

Accra:The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has reissued a tender for technical services to enhance Jordan's oil and petroleum product storage capacity. The ministry is calling for bids from qualified local and international companies that specialize in technical and consulting services.

According to Jordan News Agency, the project aims to evaluate the current storage capacity for oil and petroleum products, determine future needs, explore strategic opportunities, and develop a strategy for expanding storage facilities following international best practices.

The ministry specified that eligible companies should have at least a decade of experience in consulting projects within the oil sector. They are required to provide details of a minimum of three similar engineering consultancy projects completed over the past ten years. The projects should demonstrate expertise in areas such as petroleum product storage studies, strategic reserve planning, storage capacity optimization, energy infrastructure development, feasibility studies, master planning, and technical and economic assessments.

The deadline for submitting inquiries and requests for clarification about the tender is October 20. Interested companies should send their questions to [email protected], with copies to [email protected] and [email protected].

Bidders must submit a bid bond of $9,000, issued by a local bank, in a separate sealed envelope. The bid bond must be made out to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in his official capacity and must include the tender number 11/M/WORKS/2026 and its title, "Technical Services for Improving Oil and Petroleum Product Storage Capacities in Jordan." Both the bid bond and the submitted offer must remain valid for 120 days from submission.
