Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti and Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Khaled Khalifa Haftar discussed military cooperation during a meeting held on Sunday at the General Headquarters of Jordan Armed Forces (JAF). The discussions focused on expanding and strengthening military cooperation across various fields to support shared interests and respond to current security challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting included talks on broadening cooperation in areas such as training, professional qualification, expertise exchange, and capacity building. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency, readiness, and operational capabilities of the armed forces of both countries.
Huneiti highlighted the deep ties between Jordan and Libya, reaffirming the JAF's commitment to strengthening military collaboration and coordination to support regional security, stability, and mutual interests.
Lt. Gen. Haftar praised the advanced capabilities of the JAF and their expertise in military training and qualification. He emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise to further strengthen relations and serve the common interests of both nations.
