Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday received Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Saddam Khalifa Abu Qasim and the accompanying delegation at the General Command. During the meeting, the focus was on exploring avenues for joint military cooperation and coordination. The discussions aimed at enhancing the exchange of expertise in training and capacity building to bolster defense partnerships and address shared security challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti, along with the visiting Libyan delegation, received briefings on the key modernization and development programs being implemented by the Jordan Armed Forces. These efforts are in line with their ongoing humanitarian and relief activities in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Maj. Gen. Huneiti emphasized the commitment of the Jordan Armed Forces to prioritize strengthening military cooperation as a means to support regional security and stability, serving the mutual interests of both nations.
Lt. Gen. Abu Qasim expressed appreciation for the existing level of cooperation between Jordan and Libya, highlighting the significance of continued coordination and the sharing of military expertise.
