Amman: The Jordanian national football team rose to 62nd globally in the latest FIFA world rankings released Thursday, advancing two places from last month's 64th position.

According to Jordan News Agency, the team's improved ranking follows a 0-0 draw with Russia in a friendly match and a 3-0 victory over the Dominican Republic, also in a friendly, contributing to its upward movement. Spain topped the world rankings, followed by France, Argentina, England, Portugal, and Brazil.

The Jordanian national team has strengthened its international profile through a series of notable results, including its historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
