A Jordanian media delegation partook in the 10th session of the International Government Communication Forum, which kicked off on Sunday at the UAE’s Sharjah Expo.

The 2-day forum will see the participation of 79 experts and specialists from 11 countries.

The Jordanian delegation was headed by Minister of State for Media Affairs, and government spokesperson, Sakher Doudin, and included Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Fayeq Hijazin, and a number of Jordanian media figures and journalists.

In a keynote speech, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, said that the forum, a decade after its first launch, “was a witness to our enrichment of many scientific and practical experiences and expertise that we benefited from in developing the work and government communication system in the Emirate of Sharjah.”

He added that the forum is an event that goes beyond discussing official statements addressed to the public, to dig deeper into the origin of human relations.

The forum’s 10th session includes 31 events split between 7 dialogue sessions, 5 inspiring speeches, 7 training workshops, and 12 interactive platforms, with the aim of discussing crisis management mechanisms using innovative and contemporary communication methods.
