Jordan reported 13 COVID-19 related deaths and 620 new infections, bringing the death toll to 9,436 and the caseload to 734,659, a joint statement by the Prime Ministry and the Health ministry said on Friday.

Amman saw 288, Zarqa 109, Irbid 79, Mafraq 41, Ajloun 27, Maan 15, Balqaa 14, Aqaba 13, Karak 11, Jerash 10, Madaba 7 and 6 cases in Tafila.

The number of cases that required admission to hospitals today stood at 83, while 62 cases have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

With regard to testing, 21,672 tests were conducted Friday, 2.86 per cent of which were positive. The total number of tests conducted since March last year has increased to 7,228,956.
